一開聲，人聲結像不大理想，口型頗大，但有質感，而用時間煲煉，四隻膠腳可能要用釘腳取代。

煲兩個鐘，而家冇咁惡了，漸入佳境...

Hi 木川,

Sabre ES9018 upsample digital audio data stream internally.  This is different from many other DAC design which require a separate  chip to perform upsampling.  The display of Wyred4sound DAC2 indicate the input sampling rate.  There is no need to indicate upsampling as internally it always upsample it. I think this design is better than using multiple chips.

I like the display of input sampling rate which is quite useful. In one case, a customer told me that the sound quality was not very good and the coaxial input indicated that it is 24/192. I asked him to check the CDP and after he disabled the CDP upsampling, it sounded much better.  I'd avoid upsample twice in the signal path if possible.

Reference information of ES9018 design. According to the paper.

"The DSP engine of the Sabre™ DAC operates at either 27MHz for audio rates up to 96KS/s or 40Mhz for audio data rates up to 192KS/s. Neither of these rates is integer-related to the audio clock." (at the bottom of page 1 of this paper)

I have chat with TW users and so far Bladelius USB DAC received very positive comment.  My order is arriving end of June and will test it out.

呢部DAC試過同場比較DA11，小弟覺得嬴唔到DA11，速度及節奏感也不及DA11，而人聲音色就舒服過DA11。

Yes, it is a warm but not hot.  Should be ok, no problem.  I don't know the standby power consumption, cannot find it in the spec.  I don't think it is high consumption.

It may be the Cryo-parts USB cable we sell separately.  It is important to use good USB cable to get good sound. With good USB cable, I manage to beat a popular firewire DAC more than 2 times more expensive side by side.

W4S DAC2, DA11同BenchmarkDAC1都係我有興趣o既DAC
不過DA11個面板同操控真係好難叫我太太接受係過萬... haha

部解碼煲了足足二佰小時，今晚開機聽了幾首歌仔，感覺上這次花了這不多的錢，換來的是音質有非常大的躍進，超值...

第一首是試吳倩蓮的牧羊姑娘，整體音樂結像，低音控制力，清晰度等等都比原有NAD-S500i CD機及之前的一部USN解碼有非常大的改善，敲三角鈴的聲音更清脆，空間感更好。再來一首蔡琴的月光小夜曲，琴姐的聲音更甜，到中段步入郊野的錄音，蟲聲及其他微細聲響更清晰，包圍感更強，連青蛙的叫聲也更清楚，發聲位置及前後更穩定。第三首是雨果出品的陽春白雪，琵琶聲同背景樂器分離感增強了，中段低音比CD機出及之前的一部出得更清晰明題，打鼓時每一棍都可以感覺到位，連之前在合奏時不明題的低音都可以清楚地出得到，還可以感受到鼓的位置，最尾一段臨奏完時的弱音，以前用CD機及解碼是聽不到的，但這次出得很清楚....

因時間關係，這次只試了三首歌，要再試清楚，要七月一日假期才有時間....

今日開機聽，Telarc 隻 Round Up 其中一段 camp fire，終於聽番到狼叫聲，呢o的聲我當年只係我用的一部美國出的analogic膽機聽到，今次仲明顯，好開心....
