Mac玩CAS

I have imac , and already try lion + pure music , amarra .....
At last I use window 7 and window 8 use jplay play music
Also buy jplay and use v4 now , it is much better mac os player .

每个人的PC都唔同，好难话边个一定好。我就听过Lion+amarra劲好声，也听过劲衰声的Lion+amarra。

Win7+Jplay/Cplay 也一样，有劲好声，也有劲衰声。

我有个朋友，玩Linux，玩到latency只有142uS! 劲好声... 所以真是好难讲。。。

現我將mac mini ＞ nas, 我已經將storage 指去nas,但每次打開mac mnini 時，會自動將變返去mac mini,每次都要重新設定，入面的資料因此要每次更新, 好煩....有咩方法可避免？

Wonder anyone try changing the power supply of the NAS and the power cord of Mac Mini.  Will there be any positive change?

我認為轉 power supply of the NAS and the power cord of Mac Mini分別應該唔大(估咋, 未試過)!   But you can try and issue an report!

小弟玩Mac CAS都已幾年，發覺 電 對CAS影響非常之大，幾年前第一次換條Power cord 比部Mac之後，發覺聲音有所改善，就走上這條不歸路，不停想盡辦法去改善電方面的質，轉用Linear 牛，聲低變得更靜及自然。之後試過好幾個方案比部外置HD-Drobo(非常大電流-7A)每次的改變，都發覺聲音有所改善，會聽得到有分別。

最近個fd幫我再做過隻又大靚嘅牛比部Mac及HD用，嘩！！！現場感明顯咗，聲低豐潤好多，低頻更有力量，有幾年唔使煩，正！

modaudio is in Singapore ?

I guess Chris of Vocative Audio in Kwun Tong can do similar mod.  VA is also a HK dealer of Teradak linear powersupply.

My mac min is late 2009 version and use external power supply. Do you know output voltage and "A" for this power supply and any vendor can do external liner power supply ?

Making a linear powersupply for the old version Mac Mini is even simpler.

I remember Chris of Vocative Audio DIY such a linear psu for one of his customer with Mac Mini before.  It's the middle photo of the 2nd row : http://www.vocativeaudio.com/services.htm

Now VA is also Teradak psu dealer so you can either ask Chris to DIY one or just buy a Teradak that is of the correct Voltage & power (ampere). http://www.vocativeaudio.com/about.html

There are actually a lot of comparison from the web on all the add on software which you can search.  I am personally using Pure Music but Audivarra seems a good choice nowadays.

其拾兩個player 都好ok. 如果比function, 就一定Audirvana plus, 因可play dsf & dff files.
兩個player 都user friendly的！(請主意，兩個player我都是獨立用冇同iTunes 一起用,因吾想share cpu resources 給extra apps,我連 MBA 的wifi connection也disconnect 的)
至於bug 方面，好似Audirvana plus 有一個小bug, 就是(有時)會開始play 歌時,第一second 吾見左(skipped).

音效方面，只可是用24/192 flac files (bought from hd tracks)比較的！
Arrama 2.4.6的空間感是大少少，人聲是厚DD，聽感是感覺是舒服D！relax D!
Audirvana Plus 的動態大D，details D，高頻盡少少！
(Audirvana plus,暫時只用了三天，95%時間都是play dsf/dff files, 所以上的比較只是很preliminary 的)
個人如play HD 24/96 or 192 files, 我中意amarra 2.4.6多少少，可能是先入為主！
Price, 我買amarra 時是USD59.99, Audirvana plus 是HKD$400, 兩個都是有special offer 時買的)

最後如果兩個player 都未買，我就一定選Audirvana plus,因可play dsd files！

少少補充，試過pure music trial version, 在下不是太like,吾講音效，佢是比上面兩個難用同反應慢D！但我沒有再深入研究，可能如果用熟D，可能會好D！不過price is more expensive!

其拾小弟仲在學習中，是K1 level.
以上只是小小分享，不喜就可以不理，吾好打頭
