Linn DS is using digital streaming to play music file in NAS or PC. It's different than Marantz network player using USB. So the Songbook player contributes less (or should say neutral) to the quality of the music. That's the reason why I choose Linn. Another product using similar technology is Logitech Transporter.

My na7004 also play the music file through lan cable like linn ds, so I want to ask which software is user-friendly, more function (upsampling and equalizer) and higher sound quality.

Marantz NA7004 has both network port and USB port (24/96). It also supports AirPlay. So you can depend on your requirement to use either one. For best quality, you should use Firewire directly connect to your Weiss DAC using Amarra (MAC) or Audiogate (MAC/Windows) and bypass your NA7004.
For best convenience, you should use NA7004 with LAN connection and streaming. Don't expect too much difference on NA7004 using different interface, after all it is entry level music player device.
