Int Amp for B&W 804D

Can any ching give any recommendation? I tried Gryphon Diablo, quite good. Good bass control. I like to listen to Pop, Rock, Hiphop and Jazz. Thanks a lot.

I tried 390.2 with SF Liuto before. Maybe because of the set up, I don't really enjoy the sound. It feels so relax (well, too slow).... I tried diablo with Dyna C2. It is quite impressive... but I don't know if I really match 804D. I also consider Mcintosh MA7000. But I am afraid it will be to relax as well..... I heard JR Continuum 500 is discontinued, is that true? If not, where I can test? Thanks.

where to test e460 is the best?? also, e460 is only 180w, can it handle 804D smoothly? My first choice now is diablo, but it is soooooooo expensive.....

Your point is well received. But this new 804D is quite different than the older B&Ws. It actually has an emphasis on treble and may sound tight and sharp, as Racewong Hing experienced. This is a graph that shows the frequency response measurement - boosted towards the upper end:

Hence many use Class-A amps in UK for it. Diablo may be a good fit indeed (agree with you that it should not be the case for the older B&Ws).

Good amps from well-known brands have good resell value.

My suggestions may be too "old fashion".

In fact, listening to music is very subjective.  Just think what you like most should be ok.  個人喜好，最緊要自己冇問題就得啦！
