Synology nas click sound with dac

Seems there is a hiccup for the synology nas per above, an excuse for me to defer buying one for my logitech sbt...

I have some problem going back last Oct, solution is update the DSM or disable High Quality output. I am using HiFace2...

disable high quality output would limit it to 24/96 or even lower?

The user encounter this issue last year, the only solution before DSM 4.1 is disable HQ USB. 4.1 official announce last Aug and they just release 4.2 Beta this year. I am playing HiRes File with HiFace2 with no problem.

just wonder if any problem using sbt and synology nas?

i hestitate jn buying a synology nas because it is not cheap($2k?) in the first place, and the sole purpose of it would be limit to feeding songs/files to the sbt.

i am now attaching an hdd to sbt via an hdd usb docking by usb wire, and sbt using coaxial out to my anthem receive, just exploring if using the sbt edo(usb) out would enhance the sound quality, but that the only usb port of sbt would be used to output instead of input.....using an nas would be a solution.

NAS我用緊Synology 212+ (DSM4.1), USB出Sotm DDC入Eastern Electric Minimac DAC Plus.
